Terms and Conditions of Service

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the services provided by Your Local Technician Limited ("Your Local", "Company", "We," "Us," "Our") for window cleaning to both residential and commercial clients ("Client," "You," "Your"). By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Services Provided
We provide professional window cleaning services for both commercial and residential properties, including:
- Interior and exterior window cleaning
- Frame and sill cleaning
- Pressure washing (optional)
- Gutter cleaning (optional)
- Other as requested (optional)
2. Booking & Scheduling
To schedule an appointment, clients can book online through our website, by phone, or via email. We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation fee.
3. Pricing & Payment
- Pricing: Our pricing is based on the scope of work, the size of the property, and the frequency of service.
- Payment: Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed. We accept payments via bank transfer, Stripe, GoCardless, credit card, and debit card.
- Late Payment Fees: Late payments may incur a fee as per "the Late Payment Act" as a % of the total amount outstanding until the balance is paid in full.
4. Client Responsibilities
- Access to Property: You are responsible for providing us with clear access to all areas to be cleaned. This includes ensuring windows, frames, and sills are free of obstructions.
- Pets & Children: Please ensure that pets are secured and children are kept clear of work areas for safety during service.
- Notification of Special Requirements: Clients must inform us of any special instructions (e.g., fragile windows, restricted access, or any other concerns) at the time of booking.
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
You may cancel or reschedule your service with no penalty up to 48 hours before the scheduled appointment. If you cancel within 24 hours of the appointment, a cancellation fee of £10 may apply. If the work is completed but is not up to your satisfaction, you may request a re-clean within 7 days of the service at no additional charge.
6. Liability & Insurance
We carry liability insurance to cover damages to property caused by our employees during the course of service. However, we are not responsible for:
- Pre-existing damage to windows, frames, or surrounding structures.
- Damages resulting from weather conditions or natural causes after the service is completed.
- Non-accessible areas due to obstruction, design, or safety hazards.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Your Local from any claims arising from circumstances outside of our control.
7. Service Quality Guarantee
If you are dissatisfied with the quality of our work, please notify us within 24 hours of service completion. We will return to address any concerns at no extra charge, provided that the issue is related to our workmanship.
8. Safety & Work Practices
Our team adheres to strict safety standards to ensure that the cleaning process is performed without risk to property or people. This includes using ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment where necessary. We reserve the right to refuse service if we determine conditions are unsafe.
9. Privacy & Data Protection
We value your privacy and are committed to safeguarding your personal information. Any personal data collected during the booking process will only be used for service delivery and communication purposes. We will never share your data with third parties unless required by law.
10. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations under this Agreement caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, labour strikes, or government restrictions.
11. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective upon posting on our website. We encourage you to review these Terms regularly to stay informed of any changes.
